HCG Spicy Chicken and Green Beans
I was researching HCG recipes online for a project and found that there were too many that seemed the same so I thought I would spice things up and start looking into Asian style recipes, which if you think about are pretty healthy anyway!
This recipe is very simple and tasty, but if you feel inclined and are not too worried about keeping the calories to a minimum as this is under 300 add some other vegetables.
Serves 1:
Ingredients:
- 100gm chicken breast, cut into strips
- 1 cup of green beans, halved
- 1 red chili, chopped
- 1 tbspn lemon or lime juice
- 1 tbspn low sodium soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp parprika
- Sea salt and lemon pepper to taste
Preparation method:
In a pot of water cook or steam the beans until tender, but still crisp, then set to one side. You can if you want to do it properly remove the beans with a sieve and place in iced water.
In a sauté pan heat the lemon juice, in the meantime season the chicken strip with the paprika, add them to the pan and sauté, until almost cooked through.
Add the garlic and soy sauce and stir to coat the chicken, if need be add a drop of water.
When the liquid is reduced by half, add the green beans and season with salt and the lemon pepper and stir until cooked.
Remove to a plate and sprinkle the chopped chili over the top and serve.
Enjoy!
