HCG Spicy Prawn Salad

HCG Spicy Prawn Salad

Looking for good tasty HCG recipes wasn’t the easiest of tasks, but realizing that all manner of protein can be used in limited portions, I thought well let’s go with a few seafood dishes, especially salads.

This HCG spicy prawn salad, was actually a top hit in the family because it was light but also very tasty and satisfying. I adapt this for not diet days and we eat it with some rice, which is also really good!

But the recipe I give you here is the single portion and adapted for an HCG weight loss program.

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 100gr prawns
  • 1 cup cucumber, chopped into bite sized chunks
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • Juice from ½ a fresh lemon
  • ¼ tspn ground turmeric
  • ¼ tspn crushed chili flakes
  • ¼ tspn Stavia (optional)
  • Sea salt and crushed black pepper to taste
  • 2 or 3 leaves of Roma lettuce, whole or shredded

Preparation method:

For this salad you can use pre-cooked prawns, but of course, sticking to the HCG protocol use fresh or raw frozen prawns, make sure you weigh the frozen prawns when thawed. Boil the prawns until they are thoroughly, but not over cooked.

Wash your cucumber before chopping.

Mix together the lemon juice, minced garlic, black pepper, salt, turmeric, and chili flakes and Stavia in a good sized bowl.

Add the prawns to the mixture, give it a good stir then cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour which will allow the mixture to chill and for the spices to combine.

Remove the bowl from the fridge. Chop the cucumber into bite-size pieces and add to prawn mixture.

Serve on a top of salad leaves.

Enjoy!
